First Day of Fall -- Giveaway #1

According to my calendar, yesterday was the first day of fall.  It's finally starting to feel like fall around here, too, and that just makes me happy!  This week, we picked apples at my mom's house and then dipped them in super-yummy caramel.  That's how we've kicked off our fall celebrations the last couple of years, and we love it.   To enter this hour's giveaway, share one of your favorite fall traditions....

Up for grabs first is the Pumpkin Beanie Pattern:

Drawing in an hour!  Good luck!  While the drawing is going on, the pattern will also be available on Etsy for just $2.50.  Get it here:  http://www.etsy.com/listing/78336012/pdf-493-pumpkin-patch-beanie-hat-crochet

I would have to say the raking of the leaves about 10 times (because the kids keep jumping in them!), I won't complain because I know in 20 years we will miss it soo much!

One of our fall traditions is going to our local pumpkin patch / corn maze for a hay ride! What great family fun!

Oops I didn't read very well, our tradition is fir the kids to carve pumpkins, we use the pattern and small saws and they have been quite intricate! This year they are both at college, so we will have to make a new tradition!

We walk down to the local school yard on Halloween night to watch the fireworks! We usually don't have to bundle up too much!

Okay - so MAYBE I should read the instructions a little better! HAHA! One of my favorite things to do with my family in the Fall is to go to any/all of the local Fall Festivals and just enjoy each other, the weather, and making memories together.

Since I live where there really isn't much of a fall.... Carving Pumpkins and Thanksgiving is as 'fall' as we get.

Our kids are very little, so our traditions are just starting, but last year we went and let our 2 oldest pick out pumpkins and we carved them and cooked the seeds.

We really don't have any fall traditions but everyone in my family spend a great deal of time together for hunting season

I always loved toasting pumpkin seeds after carving out the pumpkins, and making peanut brittle with my mom if it wasn't too humid! Now that we have a baby of our own, we'll be making some new seasonal traditions!
