Winter is coming -- at least in certain parts of the world.....

So it's time to start releasing a bunch of new winter/Christmas/holiday patterns.  First up:  The pinecone hat.

This elegant hat is unique and will be the hit of your holiday portraits.  Enter to win this pattern by posting your Christmas confession below:  When do you start hauling out the holiday decorations?  We'll be doing it the first weekend in November because I'm married to Mr. Christmas.  :)

The day after Thanksgiving is when the tree goes up but I sneak and put up some mantle decorations and little stuff November 1st. My hubby won't let me put the tree up any sooner than the day after Thanksgiving. :)

With a baby due November 13, I am not sure this year when the Christmas decorations will be put up. However, that pinecone is adorable and would make a fabulous first christmas card.

Bonnie - I have completed a few patterns lately for my new arrival - I will have to send you pictures on how they turned out. I did the grace newborn bowl and the catepillar - too cute!

We have a local show (um, travelling carnival/fair? rides, sideshow ect) that always come in the last weekend in November. When I was a little girl we ALWAYS put our decorations up show weekend, always! Now I do the same with my kids! We have to wait just a little bit longer but its nice to know that theres at least one tradition that managed to stay.

I do it before Thanksgiving if we're having anyone over soon after Thanksgiving (that way it's all festive) or I do it directly after Thanksgiving! :)
