Pattern of the Day Giveaway #2: V's and Shells Afghan

This pattern is easy and elegant.  It's a really basic mix of stitches, but they're still so incredibly beautiful!

To enter, share a fall tradition.  The one I'm looking foward to right now is driving through the mountains covered in vivid reds, yellows, and oranges.  I just hope the pregnancy nausea doesn't make that experience less lovely than I'm hoping!

A tradition I started last year with my first born is going to a local corn maze for a hay ride and to pick a pumpkin from their pumpkin patch! This year will be her second fall and her second trip to the pumpkin patch!

We try to bake more cookies as a family once it cools down and we try to go to pumpkin patches and we go to the farmers' markets more. We also like to do big drives through the Texas Hill Country when it is cooler but since it has been too hot to do much outside that is what we have been doing a lot of lately.

Last year we took the two grandbabies to the Fall festival and Pumpkin Patch in Hartville OH. Now with 3 we'll be going again. Can't wait to see them riding the train and petting the baby animals.

We go camping once the air gets to where it has a fall chill to it and make hobo pies and smores.

I love fall baking! I make loaves and loaves of my Grandma's pumpkin bread. This year she'll be with us for a month, so we will get to bake a LOT together! :)

During the year, we watch for cheap fleece remnants, doesnt matter what color or size.... Then in Fall, we cut the pieces in strips and make dog pull toys. Last time, we made 50 for cats and 30 for dogs. We take them over to the Humane Society and they hand them out during the winter when the animals cant stay outside long and can get restless......
