1500 Fan Celebration Giveaway #4: The Cyclops Monster Hat

Okay, there are several monsters on their way, but this is one of my favorites so far -- a furry one-eyed monster.

Entries.  Hmmm....  How about most embarassing moment?  Hehehehe.  This should be good for some insomnia laughs tonight.  :)

My water breaking at the fire station....I knew I had been in labour all day but I still had our Beaver (Scouting) program to run that night. And of course it was field trip night...at least it was right after all the little ones had gone home with their parents. :)

Slipping on ice as I was walking to class in college. It was one of those almost-flips kind of slips...and totally hysterical! Love the monster hat ideas!

Oh my Gosh. My brothers wedding... after the wedding we went to a campground for the reception. Had a great time...then we went to our cabins to go to bed. At the time, I wasn't much of a camper (much better now...even like tents),but I was sharing my cabin with my sister so I knew all would be okay. After being in bed for a bit, I kept hearing this noise, sounded like my sister was messing with a plastic bag. I laughed at her and told her to stop messing with the bag and go to sleep. She quietly said she thought I was messing with a bag...and we realized it wasn't us. Neither of us wanted to get off our beds and find the flashlights so we sat there froze. Finally we got this great idea to jump from one bed to the next (hoping to miss the bag wherever it was) and try to open the door from the top bunk. She did it..got the door open and we started chucking our stuff out the door. Right then, my sister-in-laws two brothers went walking by, got hit by a sleeping bag and asked what we were doing...we jumped out of the cabin and ran over to them. Started to tell them the story and then it happened. We all heard the noise coming from a plastic bag by the door...we stared, I was scared to death, and just then...the cutest little baby mouse came running out. Okay, everyone but me got a laugh. To this day (over 20 years later) I am still teased about the 'Grizzly Mouse' as it was so appropriately named :-) Not only was I embarassed then, still get embarassed at family gatherings!

When I was 7 1/2 months pregnant eating supper with my hubby's at Cracker Barrel and got sick in the middle of the restaurant. I was mid-run toasted the bathroom but only made it to the fireplace in the MIDDLE of a packed restaurant when I lost my lunch. So embarrassing!!!

On my 21st birthday a few friends took me out to bar hopped. Bad thing was I mixed all kinds of drinks. At our last stop of the night I was sitting at the bar, a really cute guy was flirtting with me, I turned to talk to him and as I was just about to speak I threw up all over him. LOL. Poor guy.

It was around grade 7, I think. I was at the annual city "exhibition" with rides and music and food, etc. I was on the swings with friends, way up and threw up. I got myself, people behind me and some of the crowd...nice eh?

Oh lord way to many to put on here. One may be a little too much TMI but maybe I can make it as pg as possible. Let's just say being a 6th grader + first time "maturing" + wearing white pants = total embarrassment. Result NEVER wearing white pants during that time of the month. :D

I tripped and fell, oh excuse me, actually I tripped and ROLLED down a moving walkway at DISNEYWORLD...on the middle of the afternoon. There was no walking away from that without hundreds of people noticing! My whole family, once they saw I was fine bc the bush I rolled into broke the fall, just burst out laughing and walked away a's if THEY were the ones who were embarrassed!

Senior Prom: I was "in love" with a guy I worked with, but never talked to him because I'd get all flustered. I took a friend co-worker, one of his close buddies, to prom and when I went to introduced him to my friends, one friend pipes up and says, 'Oh, you must be Jeremy (the guy I was "in love" with). I was mortified because my date obviously knew how much I talked about his friend and was sure to tell him. I'm sure I turned several shades of red, but laughed it off and pretended it never happened at work the next day. :)

In 8th grade I was at a party with a bunch of friends and there was a boy there that I really liked. Well I went outside and jumped on the trampoline for a bit and decided I would show off how fast I could run. When I got to the door I didn't realize there was a screen on it, I thought it was open, and I busted through the screen door and totally broke it. The boy I liked saw the whole thing and was laughing his head off, I felt like such a fool and started bawling. Hated that day!

I was 16 and dating a mature 22 yr old Army man. We were at my parents eating a family dinner when I leaned over to my dad and said... "Smooth move exlax... haha I get it" I'd heard my dad say it all my life and at the age of 16 I FINALLY got it! I thought I said it quiet enough Mike didn't hear me... boy was I wrong. We are still friends today and he makes sure to tease me about it to this day!

I was in 7th grade, year 1974, and my parents took my brothers and I to an arcade in Kansas City - this was a HUGE deal. I thought I was looking very cool in my white bell bottom pants with the red, white, and blue macrame belt, my school pencil barettes, my mother's navy blue knit blouse and her bra that I snuck and in no way could fill out (and she was only a size B). I decided the easiest way to look hot was to stuff the bra with kleenex. We made it to the arcade after being questioned unmercifully by my 10 and 4 year old brother's about why I looked 'different' and where did I get the 'volcanoes' on my chest. We made it to the arcade and I was flattered by the unusual attention that I was receiving from the hoodlums hanging out there and really strutted my stuff as I began playing skeeball. I was feeling pretty good about myself until I noticed something on the floor and realized that the kleenex I had carefully folded and stuffed into my bra was now on the floor at my feet. My brother's have NEVER let me live that down. ;0)

I had one time where my dress zipper split out in church and when we stood up for the closing song, the people behind us tapped my mom on the back to let her know my dress was all the way unzipped. I had no clue until they told her.

Hmmm...it is either stumbling in front of 1000's of people on my path to get my diploma from college, or it was when taking my 2 yr old son out trick-or-treating and him looking at this older lady and saying "You're OLD!!!!"

Going to a yard sale the night before. When we got there they had the garage open to get ready. We got out of the car and asked if this was the place for the sale because they looked at us funny, and they said tomorrow.

It has to be the time I attended I was running late for my cousins funeral, we got there just in time for the procession to the cemetery - however, once we got to the actual gravesite we didn't know a single person. AND we had to stay because my van was wedged in between cars. After the service, many people thanked us for coming:) We still laugh about it :)

My first year teaching (1991) I had ticket taker duty at a basketball game...was dressed up in skirt set because back in those days they still made pep band teacher dress up...used the restroom & walked all the way around the gym to the office to collect the $ box, chit-chatted with the superintendent...who
FINALLY said, "Miss ___ you might want to check the back of your skirt"!!! OMStars...yup...was totally tucked into my nylons!!! And I had walked past a bunch of male students who didn't want to look at me (bless their hearts) & I couldn't figure out why!

My most embarassing moment was a few weeks ago. I left the house wearing a denim skirt with a slit in the back. There was a tear that was no more than 1/2". I felt that it was pretty drafty for a hot summer day, and after running around to a few places, I noticed that the tiny tear in my skirt had gone clear up to my behind!! I was walking around showing everybody my undies!! I told my finacee, I had to come home. When I walked in, he said, "oh, you didn't go to the bank". I didn't say a thing, I turned around and all he said, was "OH!" and giggled...
