I love this little guy. I think he's (she?) a sweetie-monster. How fun is this for Halloween adventures?
To enter today's pattern drawing, I want to hear your best morning sickness cure. I'm spending too much time hugging a toilet bowl, and just don't have any energy. If I can cure that, maybe I can function again.....

I drank this tea called mother to be worked wonders for me.
The orange Vitamin water is all I could drink when pregnant with Kayleigh. It really seemed to help the morning sickness.
Wish I coud help you but I had to take Dilectin for the whole pregnacy!
crackers thats all I could eat
"preggo pops" they are candy from motherhood maternity! That is all that helped me get thru it and even thru working midnights and pregnancy at the same time!
Crackers is all that would help me. I had to be careful because any smell would set me off. I was sick the whole time.
smarties candies worked for me after antacids stopped working. That was for nausea mostly.
Crackers. I didn't have the morning sickness with my first one. But the second one I had it a little bit. I am so sorry you are going through with it now. I know it's not fun. Hope it gets better.
I had it horrible... turned out not to be morning sickness though. It was super bad acid reflux! But one thing that did help was cinnamon disc candy!
preggo pops, gingerale and soda crackers
I kept crackers on my bedside table & before my feet even hit the ground I would eat 2-3. It seemed once I got up on an empty stomach it was all over but if I ate just those couple crackers the results weren't nearly as bad. Hope that helps.
I had york peppermint patties, ginersnap cookies, ginerale soda, I tried saltines, and it only helped a little, then i tried dry toast not so great, i also found out cheetos are not to bad, i can't really do any tea cause it all just tastes like warm water to me, i also found that if i drank water before i got up out of bed that i would throw it up but it helped not be quiet so nauseous, i ate a lot of like triscuits too, i have heard sea sick bracelets help too. I also tried fresh if possible fruit smoothies with fruit and juice and ice, it was thicker and helped some too
Nothing much at all helped me except for phenegren(sp), which just knocked me out. My first trimester was horrible, sickness 24/7...I carried a small garbage can with me everywhere...even kept them in our vehicles! The last day of my second trimester, I actually went out for a steak dinner and kept it down...I was still very nauseous but it did stay down. Woke up the next morning, first day of my 2nd trimester and felt like I could run a marathon! No more sickness...!! So, as you can see, I have no advice, but I do hope you are feeling better soon...There is no sickness at all like morning/day/night sickness! Even my hubby had it! He could take some pepto and be back to normal tho...LOL
oh and i used the mint lifesavers, it helped sometimes and sometimes made it worse, depended on the day. I had all day sickness with all three of my pregnancies and the only thing that helped on all way drinking the water when i first woke up, i threw up anyway but it wasn't too bad and i wasn't completely sick all day after that
Preggo Pops and if it is really bad, they can give a medicine. I had it with my third baby and it worked wonderful!
i was lucky and didn't get it very bad with both my boys but when i felt sick all i could eat was crackers. anything else made me sicker.
Crackers for sure!!
Soda crackers worked wonders for me!
Okay, that is seriously funny! I love this hat! Um, sadly, I don't have one. I was sooo sick with all my kiddos and with the twins I was in the hospital on IV's at least 2 times a week for the first 20 weeks. The only thing that kind-of helped was Zofran....and it still didn't do too much. I am so sorry you are sick. Get feeling better soon....and hopefully you will find something to cure morning sickness!!!
Preggy Pop Drops and ginger candy!
Feel better soon!!
Sorry girl...I have nothing for you...BUT I feel your pain!!! Going through the same thing right now.
chewing mint gum helped me the most. I had horrible morning sickness for the first 6 months!
Pretty much just lots of water and I ate a little bit every dew hours instead of big meals:)
Not letting myself get hungry was the biggest thing. I also found some hard ginger candies at the local health food store that helped. (Couldn't tolerate ginger in any other form, though.) To make sure with my first one I was actually getting some nutrition, I would sip Ensure in very small amounts so my stomach wouldn't notice there was something in it. Not sure if that's recommended, though, LOL. I didn't take my prenatal vitamins on the days I sipped the Ensure.
Oooooh, I just love that little monster!!
Best advice may seem obvious but, if you are buying ginger ale at the grocery store, make sure it actually has ginger in it! My mom tried to help and get me some but it turned out to not have any actual ginger in it :(
Seems like trying to keep a small amount of food in your stomach at all times helps too. Too hungry or too full = bad news.
I once heard to soak a handkerchief in lemon juice, then let it dry. Then you carry it around with you, and when you get that naseaous feeling, to smell the handkerchief. Something about the lemon smell is supposed to calm you.
Sominex (it's an over the counter sleep aid) & Vit B6. The Dr suggested the Sominex:) It really isn't that strong of a dose where it knocks you out:)
When I was pregnant with my first, we visited Mexico and stayed with our local friends. I was so sick and nothing tasted good. All I wanted was toast! So our friends went to the little market and picked me up some toast . . . Zwieback baby toast! I choked it down to be polite, but I couldn't wait to get home to make some REAL TOAST! The also told me to suck on a lime or lemon, didn't really work for me!
I carried around saltine crackers everywhere I went.
Two things that worked wonders for me! 1. lemons. smelling them, sucking on lemon candy etc. I can't stand ginger so this was a great alternative. 2. There is a band called cPRIME. You can check them out at www.cprimeonline.com and it helps with balance, strength, flexibility, endurance etc. However, I found that it helped a great deal for nausea and sleeping! Good luck-saying prayers for you.
My daughter in law takes unisom at night to sleep and the dr gave it to her to help morning sickness.
Chamomile tea and crackers.
I used ginger for awhile, but my doctor finally had to give me something.g
My Dr recommended using 1/2 a unisom and taking B-6 to help ease morning sickness... you could try that :)
I used Peppermint Essential Oil from Young Living Essential Oils! I LOVE hot chocolate, and would add 2 drops to a 16 oz hot chocolate every morning. Delicious, and it helps with nausea and sore throats! It can also be used diluted in water, or 1-2 drops (or however much you can stand) directly on your tongue. Keep water handy for that one, it's strong! :D
Recommended pricing is $25.99 for a 15 ml bottle. One bottle would last me about a month while I was pregnant!
