Every time I make one of these sets for a neighbor who's having a baby, my 2yo daughter and my 3yo son have a war over who gets to wear the set. Me pointing out that it's not going to fit either of them never helps. Super soft and elegantly simple, this is my go-to newborn gift.
To enter, share a fall/Halloween/seasonal craft that's kid appropriate. I'm going to be going crazy when it gets cold here, so I need lots of ideas!!

I don't know if its Fall, but today we made animals out of pipe cleaners and pom poms...a little last minute craft I picked up at Joann's when I went for yarn.
Footprint ghosts are great fun!

Me first. I loved to have the kids find the colorful fall leaves from the trees. We'd cutout an open circle from craft paper or cardboard and glue the leaves all over then hang up. Kind of cute. My girls are now 32 and 30.
Ghost jars, Mason jars or any clear jar in a variety of sizes, Modge podge strips of crepe parer or gift tissue an over lap a little each strip, then paid faces and put christmas lights in each jar to light the ghost up!
making turkeys out of our hand prints. either writing what we are thankful for on each feather (finger) OR decorating them with crayons or gluing on feathers
ghost cookies: nutter butters dipped in white candyquik, mini choco chips for eyes....easy!!!

Pumpkin decorating. Be it carving or coloring.
I just took some drawings (done by the kids) and covered the cheap mats that come with the inexpensive plastic picture frames with scrap fabric that coordinated with the drawing and hung them in the kids room. (i used glue sticks to adhere the fabric to the mats) very kid friendly and the fabric peels right off if you wanted to change pictures or do the project over mid-season.
We love to go to the local apple orchard and pick apples. Then it's time to make apple sauce, apple pies and more yummy treats to take to the seniors at the nursing home :-)
we like to do handprint turkeys and spiders. Sugar cookies are always fun too.
We like to do picture frames made out of the wide tongue depressors and construction paper. Then we either cover the tongue depressors with construction paper (or paint) first and then use fall foliage (which requires a "nature walk"generally around the block picking up leaves and little things to use on the frame) to cover the frame with. Some glue and rhinestones and glitter (cause we have a couple of girls) and voila! Then we stick in a pic of us from when we were on the walk and hang it on the fridge.
We love to make pumpkin cookies! The girls pour & fold in the choclate chips, while sneeking 1 or 2, here & there. They also scoop the mix onto the pans. The "crafty" part is having them clean up LOL
Make a blessings tree by taking fall leaves and sealing between contac paper and writing on the leaves something you are thankful for.
buy the mini pumpkins and paint them.
Easy one is to bake sugar cookies cut them in the shape of leafs or any fall item and let the kids decorate them!
Birdhouses are also a fun thing for kids to decorate with buttons or string or paint or anything!
My 2 year old son loves when i bake. We make treat for daddy once or twice a week. I also bought a ton of stickers and different colours of paper last winter because they were not very messy. ( i was very pregnant so i had to keep the mess to a min.)
Paint the bottom of the kids foot with white paint and stamp it on a black piece of paper for a ghost! heal is the head and you can add black eyes.We did this years ago and sent the grandparents ghost cards for Halloween!
I cut pumpkins out of orange construction paper and let the kids decorate them with markers. We put them on our front door!
Fall hand print wreaths! Trace out your childrens hands in different fall color paper. Cut them out and layer them togther in a circle forming a wreathe.
Make smores. Not a craft in the sense you are speaking of but it is a craft to make the perfect smore.
We always like to collect fall leaves and put them under paper then color over the top and see the imprint come through.
Footprint ghosts and leaf wreaths
Decorating cookies in the shape of leaves and making homemade playdough. :)
making hand print wreaths in fall colors
We love to carve pumpkins!
My 4 year old loves to collect pretty leaves from the yard and make a garland banner. Turkey handprints are always fun too!
Making cookies and the decorating and eating them! Yum!
Many years ago when I taught Sunday School, I helped my 3/4 yr. olds draw their hand and showed them how to color it like a turkey. They just loved it. I also had them bring in fall leaves and I would iron them between wax paper and they would hang them in their window.
Make pumpkin people! Get those little tiny pumpkins and either paint them or find crafty things to stick in or glue on!
Fall is my anniversary time. I live the changing leaves and such
we do paintings with the kids and use them as gift wrap for presents etc really cheap and cute
I think we will do a few of the usual stuff like cookie making and pumpkin decorating but I would like to have a few scavenger hunts but with a theme for my girls.
At Christmas every year we make gingerbread houses using graham crackers and candy. You could make a Haunted House using the same idea and orange and black icing instead of white to make it look scary. :)
We make footprint ghost!

We love to go outside and find pine cones. I dip them in clear glue and we smother them in glitter. I then add a few drops of cinnamon scent and we keep them in the house all fall. Fun for the kids and smells yummy!
